Flashpoint military confrontations In the South and East China Seas and over Taiwan, and the U.S.-Chinse arms races threaten  regional, even nuclear, war. There can be  no hope of halting and reversing the existential dangers of the climate emergency without U.S.-Chinese cooperation.
